PAZHASI RAJA was ruling north Malabar. He was courageous patriot. He entered treaty with British Authorities to suppress the actions of Hyder Ali.Later Malabar became a land of British Authority. From then Pazhasi and British Authorities behaved as rivals They began to conflict openly. Then a treaty was signed between Pazhasi Raja and Governor of Bombay. According to this treaty British Authorities continued their rule in Malabar. But British Authorities decided to suppress the Raja. Pazhasi Raja died in a conflict.
